Unrelated items? You decide

The news I heard on NPR concerned the "strict constructionist" demeanor of the new Pope. Is anyone surprised? Has anyone noticed how popular conservatism has become? The easy path is the one that's written out for you, the one you assume was created by others wiser than you. Then you can blame the dead when you find out it didn't work after all. Original ideas are discouraged.

Then the Republicans are crying that Ohio's senator George Voinovich is not being loyal to President Bush because he has the balls to question the suitability of Bolton for UN ambassador. I thought we elected our representatives because they are loyal to us. And last I heard, nearly half of us don't approve of the president anyway. Thank you, Senator Voinovich.

Closer to home...took my thirteen year old daughter out shopping for a dress for her eighth grade formal. Fairly painless it was, too, considering the last time she wore a dress was 2002. There's another woman living in my house!!!
